New here? Let’s run it back.
A free place for high school, college, and the FCA community to get moving together. Ages 13+. Your usual app tracks the run; we bring the crew.
- Get your event code. Ask your FCA representative or organizer, then create an account and join.
- Track anywhere. Use your usual running app, watch, or a measured route. Running and walking both count.
- Log miles here. Paste or upload a run screenshot to fill in the details, review them, and save—or enter your distance, date, and time manually. There is no GPS recording or automatic app sync.
- Watch the leaderboard. See your group’s self-reported mileage. The organizer closes the event and saves final standings.
Frequently asked questions
Which games can we play?
FCA reps can create King of the Huddles, Beat the Rep, Parents vs. Kids, or a separate Match Challenge. Runners can challenge one friend in Faceoff, choosing total miles or five scored rounds. Choose your event team before logging; assignments stay fixed.
How do game pledges work?
Adults can make fixed or capped per-mile team pledges. In King of the Huddles and Parents vs. Kids, only losing-team pledges are due: all participating teams’ total miles are split evenly among the losing teams. Tied leaders owe nothing. Kids never pay. Beat the Rep and Faceoff pledges support their chosen side regardless of the winner.
What is Match Challenge?
A donor agrees to a rate for each huddle mile and a maximum gift. They save a card with Stripe and authorize one automatic charge when the rep reviews and closes the event. Declines or bank authentication can require a follow-up in My pledges.
Can people pledge for a runner?
Yes. The adult organizer selects an approved FCA recipient under Support your FCA. A runner can enable a support link and share it with family and friends. Adult supporters can save a fixed gift or a per-mile pledge with a cap. Fixed gifts can be paid right away; per-mile supporters return to My pledges after the organizer closes the event. No automatic charges or reminder emails.
Is it free?
Yes. Participation is free. Donations are optional, completed by adults, and never affect rankings.
Who can join?
Students ages 13–17 and adults can create accounts. Under-13 accounts and parent-managed accounts are not available. Students ages 13–17 should participate with a parent or guardian’s permission.
Who sees my miles?
Your runner nickname (or an assigned label if removed), huddle nickname, and event mileage appear to people who joined the same event, including its organizer. Your nickname also appears on any support page you choose to share. Actual names stay tied to accounts for identification and administrator review. Student school and sports fields are not displayed in runner lists. Anyone with an event code may join before the event ends or closes, so share codes only with your intended group.
Can students chat?
No. There are no student messages, comments, cheers, or direct messages. Event descriptions and devotionals are one-way organizer content.
Who writes the devotionals?
Adult event organizers enter and publish their own Scripture references, reflections, and prayer prompts with attribution. Content appears only when the organizer publishes it.
Can I correct miles?
Delete an incorrect activity and log the corrected activity while your event is open. One activity can count toward joined open events covering that date. Game events count it only if it was logged after your team was selected. Once an organizer closes an event, its final standings stay fixed; contact the organizer about disputed results.
Are there prizes or merchandise?
Run to Obtain does not sell or ship merchandise or offer a rewards catalog. Organizers may arrange optional rewards independently, outside the platform.
How do reps organize an event?
Create an adult account, open My events, and choose Create event. Add the dates and school, share the invitation code privately, view the participant board, then close the event when results are ready. A donation profile and bank onboarding are separate from creating a free event.
